Animal Services
The City of Leon Animal Services' department provides the following assistance to all residents and is dedicated to helping protect the health, safety and welfare of both people and animals in our community.

The City of Leon requires all cats and dogs over four months of age to be registered and tagged annually. Thier rabies shots must be current. If an animal is too young to have theri required rabies shots in order to get tagged, please bring them in as soom as they are of age. Applications must be completed at the City Office.
Tags are $5.00 each for spayed and neutered pets and $45.00 for unspayed or unneutered pets. You much have proof of current rabies and breed in order to receive tags.
Staffordshire terriers and mixed breeds thereof are also allowed with different requirements.
Please have your pets tagged before March 1st to avoid late fees and fines.
